Story | REMECH Systemtechnik GmbH

Turn-key automated assembly lines

REMECH Systemtechnik designs and builds partially and fully automized assembly lines for the automotive industry. The portfolio also includes systems for chassis marriage, final assembly and special conveying.

Founded in 1997 and now part of the Siemens group, REMECH delivers their top-of-the-line solutions to key players in the automative industry around the globe. The website needs to be attractive and informative to customers from the US as well as from China, from Brazil to Russia and from Mexico to Great Britain – to list but a small numbers of countries.

In 2013 the CI went through a complete overhaul with the leitmotiv now being a high tech environment in blueish colours with an appropriately clean look. As no stock images were used photo shoots had be organized and executed at customers’ sites. It goes without saying that all images and videos had to undergo complex clearance procedures before they were published.

The technical documents and data we provided were used by the Hennig team to create a very professional website. We were really impressed by their responsiveness and reliability and the result more than met our expectations – and our customers and business partners came back with very positive feedback.”

Responsive Website & CMS

When REMECH became part of the Siemens group, Hennig was charged with updating the existing site. The site that had so far been very static, became more dynamic thanks to an easy-to-use content management system. The responsive design allowed the content to be displayed properly on all standard screen sizes.

Executed in Joomla, the overhauled site featured a log-in section for registered users. In close cooperation with the stakeholders at REMECH and Siemens Hennig supported the company in adding new content and images.

Second relaunch with new CMS

In 2017 a second relaunch was needed to improve multi-language content management and reflect the latest safety requirements. Hennig switched over to TYPO3 as CMS.

Analytics provided statistical data which made REMECH decide to remove the log-in area. The website was adapted to become a tool for recruiting employees: we developped an online career management tool with automatic deletion of collected data in accordance with German data protection laws. While continuing to support REMECH with posting new content and assisting them with any technical issues, Hennig now also provides a management summary of relevant analytics.
